Sweet Freedom Motorcycle Club was founded in 1981 in Heidelberg, West Germany. The name was taken, with permission, from a club in Wisconsin that had disbanded a few years earlier.

The original members of the group were all U.S. Army personnel stationed in and around Heidelberg. It consisted of Pappy, Jr, Buzz, Big Al, Mad Mex, and Diesel. The club quickly grew in the early eighties to 25 members in 1983. Not all members were U.S. military some were civilian. Some members were international, German, Canadian, Australian, etc.

We love the open road and the wind in our face. Our motto is “Brotherhood of the Spoked Wheel”. We love the brotherhood and camaraderie of shared passions. Traveling in the company of friends is home in motion!
